About Myron

Since Myron’s passing , I’ve had the idea of creating a memorial website where all of his friends and family could share photos and memories. Recently I found the strength to move ahead with this vision (www.djdevnull.com). It’s in early stages, but I’d like to share it with you today.

It’s set up so anyone can upload photos, all you need to do is go to the “Photos” page and click the “Add Photo” link. Currently, all photos uploaded here will go into one gallery. Anyone who wants a separate gallery can email me and I’d be happy to make additional ones. I’m not sure how the best way to organize photos, so I’m open to suggestions. Right now I’ve just separated a place for pictures of his artwork, so if you have a photo of Myron’s artwork, please upload it to the “Art” page.

I envision the “Memories” page as being a place to share stories about Myron. In order to post here, you’ll need to register an account on the site.

I’ve taken photos of his laser for the page headers (they are random, so hit refresh). I’d like to add more, so please upload/send me images so I can add them.

I realize that many people have become accustomed to using Facebook for these purposes, but an independent site has many benefits. First, there’s no guarantee that Facebook will be around forever and no guarantee that Myron’s profile won’t disappear one day (as many of us witnessed with Faith’s profile). Additionally, not everyone has access to Facebook or Myron’s profile. Since his profile has been moved to memorial status, those who weren’t his “friends” cannot access it, nor can anyone without a Facebook account.

I own the domain name djdevnull.com and will renew it annually. Although I’ve started this, I don’t take ownership and hope that this will become a community site dedicated to keeping Myron’s memory alive.
